Owner Jan Wheelis and Manager David Moore are
developing eco-tourism and habitat improvement
conservation methods to protect the land and
wildlife. Rio Vista Bluff comes complete with a
handicapped accessible Lodge & Observation tower
suitable for overnight stays.

Saving Habitat & Wetlands for Wildlife

"I'm gonna rule from the grave darling", said Jan as
she explains her placing the ranch in 99 year
conservation easements. Jan learned her love of
the land from her grandfather and wants to ensure
the habitat for the diverse wildlife and eco-systems
will continue for another century.

LAND STEWARDSHIP FOR TEXAS

Jan and David work with and support a wide variety
of organizations that nurture and develop wildlife
conservation efforts. They include the Texas Parks
and Wildlife Department, the Texas Master
Naturalist program, The Victoria Soil and
Conservation District, Ducks Unlimited, The
Guadalupe Wildlife Management Co-op, along with
the NRCS, TCE, & TPWP, and others
